Well, it only depends on your type of metabolism.

For example: A generous meal at McD can contain even more than 3000 kcal. If you run 10 km you will barely burn few hundreds. For me cardio is sh**t and it's also time consuming...Why to maintain my heart beats on the same level for 60 minutes if I can do it much more faster?
Rough calculation is 1 calore per kg per kmh per hour - assuming a speed which is jogging/running IE time when you are in the air

Add 10% per 1% of incline

10km for an 80kg person in 1 hour - is 800 calories - approximately.

Not all potbellied people are nerds but for beer and pringles yes

However, the choise was to be made between running or 2 hours of nookietime

Which is why exercise alone will not get rid of that pot-belly.

Even if you run a whole marathon, you'll still only burn off the equivalent of a BigMac meal.

had a trillion calorie chocolate pudding for dessert at lunchtime.

and had 2 mcdonalds cheeseburgers for dinner. still felt hungry so also got a kebab box (chips, kebab meat and lots of sauce)

had to release the belt another notch
Today I went for a run at lunchtime in the warm October sun, with clear views of the snow-capped mountains - fantastic.

Upon my return, I had a couple of quick bowls of my wife's home-made Pumpkin and chestnut soup and an apple.

See both of the above. I bet my lunchtime today was just as enjoyable as Phil MCR's, yesterday. You don't need to give anything up.

Re: Men are embarassed by their pot bellies

Ok granted, if you look anything like the person below (your avarage internet/forum user perhaps? ) then you have gone to far, but a belly ,unlike the picture below is ok , if it doesn't bother you why should it bother someone else?

its the same with saying " people over 100 kg must pay extra seat on airplaine ",just bullsh.. btw, speaking of potbellies, from when are you actualy classed as " fat " weightwise?

So, while you were running, your wife was cooking, right?

Who is supposed to be making some home-made pumpkin and chestnut soup for Phil? He's not married!

I'm sure he'd love to have time for running while someone else is cooking a home-made lunch for him.

Re: Men are embarassed by their pot bellies

The BMI is a fraud - firstly the boundaries moved downwards a few years back, secondly it was originally setup for insurance companies, thirdly it assumes consistent body weight density and fourthly it takes no account of actual health.

The unconvieniant truth for those organisations that jump on the BMI bandwagon is that it is woefully inaccurate.

However, if you want to know what BMI 25/30/35 is:

1.8m tall person = 81kg, 97kg, 113kg

certainly not from the same planet where females sit on bellies to have orgasm
Never said anything about sitting on bellies. That was a naive assumption on your part.

Quote:
Ok, most thin people are outies, you become innie only when you have some fat around it... but are you saying innies get the lint or the outies
Again, what planet are you from? Innie/outie has nothing to do with your weight, and definitely cannot change over time! It depends on how your skin forms after losing the umbilical chord. In fact, most people are innies. Hold on, let me check for exact numbers .... 90% of people are innies. I am a deep innie, even when I was scrawny bugger.

But you have reinforced my belief that outies are freaks of nature. It's the only rule I have for dating: no outies. Not sexy at all and def freaky!

(I won't go on about nipple rubbing whilst playing sports in nylon jerseys)

Well no actually.
She made it the night before - we had what was left for lunch, re-heated.

I probably do 90% of the cooking in our house.

I simply cannot imagine how a woman (OK, i am assuming you mean a woman when you say "others") can rub against a fuzzy tummy, defo beyond my realm of imagination . Unless you care to explain the mechanics most people won't have a clue what you are talking about.

Yes, it depends on how the umbilical cord was cut, how the wound healed etc., (obviously mate, ), but it also depends on the amount of fat around the belly button. It is possible that you were thin in your youth, yet had belly fat... I don't mean everyone with an innie has to be fat, just that having belly fat means you are far more likely to be an innie.

Have you not been told the member's effective length reduces if you have more fat around the abs? Same principle here.
