aspergers support in zug ?

Hi there,

I am a young professional and have recently moved to Zug. I have only recently found out that I exibit most of the symtoms of aspergers. Whist I am more than able to live a normal life and perform adequatly at my job, I have a lot of difficulty with interpersonal relationships, and find it difficult to make/find new friends. This is not from a lack of trying, i really value and desire the companionship of others. Ironically, the only way for me in the past was when hopelessly drunk, where I was able to 'loosen up a little'. Basically, I am hopelessly lost when it comes to socializing as I tend to show very little emotion in public. I feel that I have just never learned the 'art of socializing', smalltalk... I learn by observation, reading self-help material as it just doesn't come naturally... I tend to avoid large social gatherings, due to my lack of skills in this area.

Would anybody know of a support group in the area or some counselling/mentoring help that such a person could get ???

Hi, grassfighter. Any luck with your social network in Zug? Similarly, I moved to the Zug area, am also an IT professional, and consider myself Aspbergeresque. It could be fun to meet in Zug after work or on the weekend sometime.
