Re: Cute things kids say

I always say to my son that he must put growing powder on his nails at night cos' it just baffles me as to how they grow so fast

One evening last week, when he was out of the bath, I told him to hurry up and bring his feet over to me as I needed to cut his nails, and Mr. smarty pants, 7 going on 60, quickly replied:

"Can't just bring you my feet, silly, I need them to walk on"

I quite liked my new green top shopped in the UK. Well, until my son told me yesterday that when I wear it I look like a salad

My husband can cook one dish, chile con carne. We told our 5 year old son that mummy was going to be away for a few days and he said "oh no!! I don't want to eat what papa cooks for that many days!"

I've been through that so many times that now, 8 grandchildren later, I can make 'sugar' sound really offensive and insulting

Re: Cute things kids say

My youngest (3.5) is obsessed with growing at the moment - he'll wander about, telling everyone, "I'm growing bigger as Daddy!".

Best one, though, was when he opened the pantry, reached half-heartedly up towards the cookie shelf, and moaned, "I didn't grow yesterday!".

My Dad taught me that it was the throne ... so nobody could speak to Dad because he was on the throne!

Then this morning he said he needed to do something else so I had to do the cleaning i replied are you taking the piss. I walked into the kitchen and my daughter said to me are you taking the piss. I did not know she was so close.

I was walking with my daughter (who attends French school), she was balancing along a very low wall and slipped off, as she slipped off, she said quite loudly "oh Merde"

The next day he high-fived me saying "high five" the first thing when i saw him.

My son's almost 6 and very much into aliens (Ben 10, Dr Who etc). A few months ago he wanted to know "Why do some people believe about God but they don't believe about aliens?"

Re: Cute things kids say

My son (5) often comments on my clothes and how they fit me ( or not...)

Well, today we were in the bath together and he asked me, in a concerned tone: "Mommy, is it normal that your breasts sag like this?"

Thanks goodness $&#€ŁĽ brat! I'm breastfeeding, that's why!!!

More pearls of information and insight from our 5 year old boy:

News from Libya:
"Hey Daddy, Uncle Gaddafi's wife's been killed!"

And:
"Daddy, have you ever kissed a man?"
(Laughing) "No I haven't - go and ask your mother if she's ever kissed a woman"
"Mummy....mummy...have you ever kissed a woman?"
