Funny, this thread appears to have snuck back into Family matters/Health. I'm sure it was in Off-Topic at some stage .

Obviously still more important than Alzheimer's breakthroughs....

Re: Cute things kids say

9-year old running on ahead of me

"Come on old man"
"What did you just say?"
"Come on old man - you ARE an old man, you're nearly 50"

FFS! Give me a chance son!

And having purchased these (thank goodness Dosenbach were having a sale):

http://images.prodirectsport.com/v3_...Main/37619.jpg

I get a nicer comment

"Oh good, I'm the real Messi now"

I wish son...I wish...

we played monopoly with my 4 year old son. On TV they showed models in lingerie. He said:" Dad I like these ladies with tits. These looks delicious"
One occasion we past the brothel, around Geneva and my son saw the girls wearing sexy clothes(almost show 95% of her tits... He says that's cool!

Lecturing the near-6 year old:

"Listen, you've got to help us more round the house like picking up your clothes and not throwing them on the floor. What are you going to do when Mummy and Daddy get old and can't walk?"

"Nothing"

"Well, what are you you going to eat?"

"Sweeties"

I give up....time for bed...

Re: Cute things kids say

Religious Education is going well in German:

"Heesus died didn't he?"
"Sorry?"
"Heesus died"
"Ah! You mean JESUS!"
"Yes!! Finally I know the English word for Heesus"
...
"He died didn't he?"
"Yes!"
"Who killed him?"

And the smaller one is showing interest in Astronomy:

"I'm scared a meteorite is going to hit this house"
"Errm, I think we'll be allright son"
"Why do we have to move to a new planet when the sun stops?"
"I wouldn't worry about that one, we won't be around..."

When my son was about 3 years old, I asked him what colour my eyes were.

"White," he replied.

Ahhh ... can't argue with that! "And the bit in the middle?!"

Re: Cute things kids say

Football Tournoi with the 9-year old in nets for 1 game

"Talk to your defenders son!"
"Stop English talking"

"You have to tell your defenders where to go"
"You don't know what you're talking about"

It's all over:

"So son, what did the Trainer tell you at the end?"

"I don't know, I wasn't listening"

Lionel Messi, he is not...

At least your son plays football. Mine refuses to learn because his ball will get all dirty...

Re: Cute things kids say

The pain of the 2nd born

"Why did you and mummy make me last? Why did you make Dani first?"

I struggled to reply to that, finally I uttered
"Someone had to come 2nd, if it wasn't you, it would be your brother"

That seemed to work.

My then two year-old daughter was very excited to have a baby brother. After two weeks of being home with him her enthusiasm had died down and she said: "He's only crying all the time. Let's return him to the hospital."

Don't you just love it when they are so honest with you....

The other morning I was getting ready for work and my son for school and I said "Wow, it's hot in here this morning, I'm sweating" And he said" Oh, that's the change of life..."
