Re: Cute things kids say

My one-year old loves to say "ka-ka" which, I believe, means "poo."

The other day, we were walking through Globus, and he wouldn't stop shouting it, over and over.

(Maybe he was referring to the prices?)

My daughter does the same., preferably in public places. Always quite a sight to have her yelling "caca! Caca!" In the bus

We're in Dubai now.
OK...just one more...

Just had a Medical drama - 9 year old had his Appendix removed in an Emergency operation in local hospital here.

Next day, the Iraqi Surgeon does the rounds, checks our elder boy and is interrupted by our 6-year old tapping his wrist and politely enquiring:

"How did you escape from Afghanistan?"

Even the Doctor was laughing

Re: Cute things kids say

okay, just one,

When my son was about 7-8 we had the following exchange:

The Kid:

"Dad, when I grow up, I'm going to work at McDonalds and you can live with me."

Me:

"What about mom and your little sister?"

The Kid:

"They can come visit, as long as they call first."

Re: Cute things kids say

My 6-year-old cousin's thoughts on breasts. For reference, I have moderately-sized breasts and her mother has huge knockers. Her sister Carly also has moderately-sized boobs.

Me: Nice crop top you've got there. Where did you get that?
Her: I went shopping with Mum. She wanted to buy a top but she couldn't squeeze her boobs in.
Me: I'm not surprised, your mum has big boobs.
Her: I wonder if I'll get boobs like my mum.
Me: I hope for your sake.
Her: Maybe I'll get boobs like yours.
Me: Maybe.
Her: Or Carly's. Hers are tiny, like yours.

Talking of boobs...

My little one has decided that I'm her "breast friend".

Re: Cute things kids say

The Kindergarten teacher ran through the months of the year in class yesterday, so I thought I'd review them with my nearly-five-year-old (I can hardly believe it -- time flies) last night.

"So, let's say the names of the months again, in German: Januar, Februar, März ... [he skilfully repeats them all] ... November -- that's the month we're in now ... Dezember."

There was a pause -- then he said,

"Is that it?"

"Yes, that's all the months."

"And then you die?"

There's a certain logic to that, I guess -- the end of time ...

My 3 year old is heavily into Scooby Doo (due to his big brothers)

He always asks for the episode with the 'vampirates'.

While I was walking my son to Kindergarten, he showed me the building where he will live when he will be a daddy, which is just the one in front of ours, and he showed me the nursing home just accross the street where I will live because I will be old and old people live there and said he will come to visit me because it won't be too far...

The kids who come to my playgroup seem to think it's my home. One of them asked one day "Lynn where does your mummy and daddy sleep"?

Mini-mimi singing her alphabet in German:

A, B, C, D, E, F, G,
H, I, J, K,
LNMOP,
Q, R, S,
T, U, V
W, X
that's what I said

(I assume she meant Ypsilon, Zed)

I was trying to ask E, almost 2, not to do something earlier today... her response? She put her tiny finger up to her mouth and said "shhhh" as she snuck off to do what she wanted! lol
