My eight-year old has been laid low with flu the last couple of weeks so has been not capable of doing much with a high fever most of the time.
He's ended up watching a fair bit of Youtube and other stuff - lots of stuff invariably about U.S. family life or teenagers fooling about and eating".
Last night at the dinner table he asked, "Can you buy vegetables in America?"

Ok, my daughter is not really a kid anymore... but she said something funny I wanted to post.
Dad, she asked me last night... who was created first man or woman. I paused before I answered.
Well, the bible I think says man was created before the woman, Adam and Eve thing.
So he created man, a prototype... and then made the the perfect model she said, woman.
I had smile, yes.. your right I said.. man was his first try and woman was surely the improved version | The following 3 users would like to thank markalex for this useful post: | |

I was at the bakery yesterday with my two adult but smallish dogs. One little kid behind me in the queue exclaimed: "Look! A baby wolf!"
We all laughed, it was so cute |

I was babysitting Kael, age 6. He asked me to make "strangled eggs." In his lexicon, that meant scrambled eggs made with no milk. I've called them that ever since.

Not cute but funny.
My teenage son asked if he could make a sandwich the other day. "What can I put in it?" he asked.
"Have a look in the fridge", I replied.
"I'm not having any of that Italian prosciutto that I had yesterday", he said, "It tasted a bit weird".
He showed me the packet. It was uncooked bacon!
