Re: Tax forms in Zug

There was certainly a letter with the forms, so go and look in the bin, retrieve the letter, translate it, and then you know why they sent you the forms for 2009.

Hint: we declare here our assets and income for the previous year. So normally you would receive about this time forms for tax year 2010.

Now as to why you have received forms for 2009: how the heck are we supposed to know? Ask at your tax office or Gemeinde / Commune... maybe you have earned too much in 2009 and they have just found out?

tax dedeucted at source is only one out of many. You are also taxed on your 'fortune', stocks, shares, savings, property here and abroad (= also back 'home' the UK or elsewhere) etc. As said above you need to ask them.

Re: Tax forms in Zug

You are required by law to complete a tax declaration if you are on B Permit and your income is over CHF 120k. Changing from an L to a B Permit we received a letter stating this and a tax form followed after, but much later than when the forms for that year were usually sent.

We sent the 2009 tax form in before Christmas and haven't received the 2010 form yet.

Please treat people with respect and do not be so aggressive , the op is simply asking for advice.
