Paypen - anyone use one to scan bills?

I bank with PostFinance and UBS. I currently type all the account numbers in manually when I pay bills. This works okay, but there's always the tedious task of counting how many zeroes are in the payment. So I thought about buying a Paypen:

http://www.ubs.com/1/f/online/ebanki...ls/paypen.html

Looks like they're subsidised by the banks, as the basic Paypen is CHF248 on the CLX website, but CHF148 on PostFinance and CHF99 on UBS.

First question: does anyone use one of these devices, and are they accurate? I'm suspicious of the recognition rate of anything handheld, and if the recognition isn't good, I'm better off doing it myself.

Second question: is UBS the cheapest place to buy one of these?

My husband uses one, he got fed up typing all the reference numbers from the payment slips. He has no complaints about it at all, it does as it says on the tin.

We got one via Postfinance. It works fine.

I found it easier just to take the paying-in slips to the UBS multimat and get it to read everything in for me. No tedious typing-in, and no 250CHF pen to buy.
