A bit of advice
Hi,
I'm new to the forum, this is my first post.
I wondered if anyone could help with a tax question?
My Swiss wife, son & myself (English) are all moving to Switzerland soon. I am going to continue working in the UK as I own a company in London, I will (I know it sounds stupid) commute to & from Zurich leaving on Monday, returning on Thursday. My wife & son will stay in Switzerland.
I have to "register" I am told by my wife & tax advisor in Switzerland as I need a bank account, a phone, a car etc etc. But, I need to continue paying tax on my UK earnings as I need to be in the UK more than 90 days a year, which is fine. I intend to pay tax in Switzerland on any Swiss earnings & I have set up an AG company there.
If I am "registered" in Switzerland does it mean that I cannot still pay tax on earnings in the UK as I am a Swiss resident? I am concerned that I will not be able to go to the UK more than 90 days a year.
Sorry if it is a bit of a ramble, but any help would be appreciated.
Danke!
