Re: Best place 2exchange currency Ge

Please do not use txtspk on the Forum. It makes searching difficult and is also hard for some non-native speakers (and elderly Mods) to understand.

Re: Best place to exchange currency [Geneva]

Gare Cornavin has an exchange office, if I remember well, it should be open. I think it is in the row of counters (with CFF office, TPG office, info office on the lower level). So just cross the street to get to it, it is right where you will be.

I know it is hard to get rid of the txtspk habit, but you don't want too many mods constantly pointing it out

Re: Best place to exchange currency [Geneva]

Across from the train station is a pedestrian street that runs down to the Mont Blanc bridge. Right across from the Starbucks (ask anyone and they should be able to tell you where it is) is a currency trader. There is another one beside the Macdonald's that is just a bit further from the Starbucks. You can compare the two rates. Both are just a few minutes from the Rue de Lausanne.

If you are converting a larger amount, ask them if they have a better rate. Often they will shave a point or two off the rate.

Re: Best place to exchange currency [Geneva]

Unless you're changing thousands, it really makes very little difference. The train station usualy has very slightly better rates but we're talking cents per hundred, nothing else.
