Bank Bank Piguet SA-Good at managing a pension fund?

Our company pension fund is managed by Bank Piguet SA. Again this year we dont have any interest on our savings. They acheived a net return of investment of 2.8%, apparently this is below the LPP40+ index of 5.45%. They are building up reserves.

However I would like to know is how can I find out how much money the bank is actually making as it manages our money. Can I find out the Gross return on investment from anywhere?
Thank you
Chester

Well the bank probably has sent to their client a performance and attribution analysis, and breakdown of their charged fees?

(If not, contact the respective relationship manager for the fund and you should receive the required information.)

Re: Bank Bank Piguet SA-Good at managing a pension fund?

Bear in mind any positive return in CHF is OK the SMI is -6.52% over 12 months at todays date. Also the CHF has gained v /$/.

If the pension fund is totally in cash then 2.8% is about what you would expect.

I expect the charges are quite low on a CHF pension, historically most investments were cash or cash equiverlents, there has never been the ability to hide huge fees.

Thank you - I'll get in touch with our pension foundation and I'll know now what to ask for. All the best. Chester
