Pillar refund

I have been working in Switzerland since Feb 1st. Just gave my notice so I'll be leaving at the end of April.

Question is - am I eligible for a tax refund of some sort and how do I go about doing that. I am not sure if the domicile registration went went through as I didn't get health insurance and they sent a letter requesting that. I have told them I'll be leaving within the three month window and they've requested a letter from my employer stating I'll be no longer employed there. I'll take that in next week.

So my question is, am I elegible for a tax refund (approximately 1600 CHF was deducted from my paycheck each month - taxes and pension )and if so, how does one go about starting the process.

Re: Pillar refund

You or another new poster asked exactly the same question yesterday. Taxes no, pension possibly it depends on where you come from & where your going to. There was another thread active in the last week that has a link to the information in English.

Re: Pillar refund

My situation is kinda complicated. I am returning to live in the USA (my american status is that of a permanent resident alien) but am a German citizen. I am beginning to think that it just wont be worth the hassle for the pension refund here in Switzerland.
