Your credit record is collected here...

Ever wondered what happens to your credit history? Or if your name is being recorded somewhere?

This is were the banks and credit card companies are checking your background, for e.g. new credit cards or mortgages (or changing
existing ones to a new bank).

According to the Data Protection Law you can ask about your personal name in the link above.

No one told me before, just found it out by chance!

From what I heard, you can just walk into RAV or respective Cantonal tax office and request to see anybody's Tax return.

Thats how protected the data is in CH.

No that's not true. It was like this in the 80's, where your neighbor could just walk to the tax department and see what you were earning and if the little holiday home is really mentioned in the taxes. Now you can only get hold of the total "taxable amount and assets". Not as bad as in the older times

What you can do is asking them for a special data protection - a so called Datensperre - so that really NO ONE can access them.
