Payments in Switzerland

Hi,
I want to do a contract with Orange and because i am only here for 1 month and this is a 24 mont contract they want a deposit.

So they sent me:

"Please use the following data for payment:

reference number: ***********

account number: *********** (Orange Communications SA, 1020 Renens VD)"

I am new here and i canīt phone Orange because i only have my number in roaming (would cost me a fortune). I tried but i took 4 minutes to hear a song and i gave up.

Yesterday i went to the bank for processing credit cards and the employee didnīt know how to pay with this values (awkwards references she said).

Please can anyone help?

Re: Payments in Switzerland

You need to do it in Switzerland, at a Post Office or bank.

I understand the system now.
I hope this may be helpful.

When you are doing a payment (red slip) in UBS e-banking, if the account is not recognized you need to have a lot of details.

So, the best is to have an account that the system recognizes.

I asked another accounts from Orange and when UBS recognizes it, it is very straightforward.

One more detail: i only had the account.
