Closed bank accounts in Tax Declaration..?

Hi all,

quick question: I've had 2 bank accounts in the 2010, however one of these was closed in October and all of the money transferred to the other.

For tax declaration purposes, is it enough to come up with the final 2010 statement of the bank account that I've left open, or should I bring also some documents of the one that has been closed?

Thanks for your help.

Re: Closed bank accounts in Tax Declaration..?

The bank should have given you an official letter stating that the account was closed and what the interest was.

You need to include this in your tax statement/declaration for that year. (Obvsiously, you won't need it in subsequent years.)

Just show the closed date, no need to provide any statements as you don't have an account on 31.12!
If there was withholding tax deducted you should provide the form.
