Credit Suisse - Issues with Online Banking

Dear All,

I am a Non EU living in Zurich,
I have gone through a strange issue with Credit Suisse, I normally transfer money in CHF to my account in foreign bank, this time I did the transfer but forgot to mention Payable currency and left it bank, The Bank or Online banking tool replaced the payable automatically to the currency of the country and paid the Amount,

But now the fund are back because the bank cannot accept the payments other then CHF

now I dont understand whose mistake is this, who should be taking the resposibility

1. I assume it is not mine because I release the payment in CHF
2. Even if I leave the payable empty then online tool should raise an error
because there might be accounts in different currencies in foreign banks as well

I am still waiting for the answer from CS, my funds are with them for the past two weeks

Re: Credit Suisse - Issues with Online Banking

You can send money via payments in the site in destination's local currency. I suggest calling the folks, they speak English and are super helpful. I must admit, their online banking takes a while to learn and setup, but its easy to use after.
