Is my Java Contractor rate low?

Hi, I am working through as a Java Contractor in Zurich.

My day rate is CHF 820 per day and the agency pay the employers contributions.

Is this a good rate? I have only been in Zurich 3 months, and have heard developers get upwards of CHF 900 per day.

Re: Is my Java Contractor rate low?

Do you work as a Java Contractor in Zurich also?

Some of my colleagues have shared their pay slips, and are also clearing CHF 25 per hour more.

The agency have told me the client pays difference amounts for each contractor. How can I check this? The agency also say there margin is 25%, is this high or even likely? I thought it would be closer to 30%, as they are both UK based and Swiss based.

Do you get 820 CHF after the Agency has paid out your tax and social contributions?
