Tax refund after leaving Switzerland

Hi

I came to Zurich in Nov 2009 and left in Dec 2010. I had a salary less than 120k so was taxable at source.

In February 2011 the company cut a huge amount for social security. I want to know if that is refundable.

Thanks
Shivani

Dear Shivani

in Feb 2011 ? Have you not already left then?

And what kind of social security are you talking about? berufliche Vorsorge / second tier is usually refundable.

Re: Tax refund after leaving Switzerland

Yes I had left by then, but since the company was same when I moved out, in my Feb salary they cut the social security with other taxes for my bonus.

I will have to check and come back for the type of tax it was.

Thanks
Shivani

A Bonus will be highly taxed as the month is multiplied by 12 then the tax rate applied for that annual salary.
