Hi, I can't seem to find a post finance branch that offers safety deposit boxes? Has anybody come across one? Yes I know that other banks like UBS, CS, etc have them, but I plan to have my accounts at Post and so I don't want to open an account and get charged monthly fees just to keep a box.

Well I can tell you that Post Finance do not do safety deposit boxes. I know because I needed one recently and enquired about it!
In the end I went into UBS and asked about one. You can have one if you are not an account holder but it costs quite a bit more than if you ARE an account holder.
In the end, I opened a savings account and then just paid a nominal annual fee for the safety deposit box.

If you're going to pick one of the banks, you might want to look into the Raiffeisen. Some of their branches have the new high tech system allowing 24 hour automated access to your box using an EC card - that could be handy!

My bank just upped the fee to CHF 200 per year. I think they might have just lost my business.
