I have read through a lot of the threads here and still remain confused on this. I am ordering textbooks for 239chf and postage 10chf. Will I have to pay tax and customs fees on this? I am guessing so since it is above 208chf. If so how much? If I split the textbook order so it remains under 208 should I not have to pay anything?

239 @ 2.5% + 10 @ 8% = 6.80 CHF, so you would be charged the taxes + handling fee (you'll be above the 5 CHF threshold).

If you can keep the books below about 160 CHF (assuming 10 CHF postage) then you should be OK.


Try to keep yoiur orders separate, because if they come through at the same time and are noticed then they'll be combined.
