Coop VISA bank account with permit or just work contract?

Hello,
I have working contract in my hands that will bring me B permit in following weeks, but as we know it can take a while. But permit itself is for sure. I want to have a cost-free bank account with Visa card for internet payments worldwide, and from what I heard/read, Coop bank is one of few candidates.
here is the question - do I need B permit itself or is working contract alone enough to open this account?
Thanx for any info

Speaking from personal experience, I needed to show them a copy of my permit. So yeah, the contract alone will not be enough

Have you tried Post Bank as well? They were a little more accomodating than Coop Bank in my case.

If you mean PostFinance, then I already have a basic account there. I am looking for cost-free visa card for internet payments, and that one is not free with PostFinance as far as I know.

Originally you said you wanted a bank account with a cost free card. If you simply want a cost-free card independent of a bank account, then there are several more options.
