Filling out a Tax Return for Luzern

So I got my C-Permit last month, and as of the 1st of december, they've taken me off Quellensteur and expect me to complete the tax form for december.

I've never done a tax return in my life, in the UK I was always PAYE, this is all new. Don't suppose anyone could give any pointers on the form?

Re: Filling out a Tax Return for Luzern

You will receive beginning of next year your tax filing documentation for fiscal year 2011. Your employer should issue a salary slip for the full year of 2011, mentioning as well the amount retained for Quellensteuer during the 11 months.

The tax filing documentation includes all instructions and information needed to fill it in, however this is in German language.

I recommend you to consult a Treuhänder, who can do fill it our for you if you wish.

Re: Filling out a Tax Return for Luzern

The forms for Luzern are available for download.

Of course they only have 2010 available, so if you want to test yourself and your German skills, you could download 2010 and work through it.

I've never filled out the form - as an American I already pay somebody to do my U.S. taxes, and they have someone do the Swiss taxes. The two companies are already recommended here.
