Re: Military Tax Questions

It took them several years for them to call me up on that (after becoming Swiss), only did one day in the end!

Am somewhat surprised you haven't been called up to do Civil Defence (Protection Civile) duties. Any days you serve there will reduce proportionally (I believe up to 14 days/year) your military taxes.
I think I'm going to go see them and talk about this!

Thanks

Mark

Just a note, don't expect it to be fun. It's extremely boring. Think very, very slow. Long coffee breaks, long lunch breaks, etc. I've passed the M-data so have it all behind me, but it is time off work, which your company has to give you.

Time off work is extremely un beneficial for me. If I go to the canton military office can I find out about the service civile there or should I go elsewhere first?

Can I bring my Blackberry/iPhone??
