Paypal Scam! ( paypal.info )

I received an E-Mail from paypal@paypal.info telling me my account was frozen and there was some suspicious activity and I should click on the following link to solve the problem. So I logged into my account (not through the link) and it's open and fine. So beware of this if you are a paypal customer! The real pay pal E-Mail is paypal@paypal.com or any other country code like .ch oder .de, it's never .info

Re: Pay Pal Scam!

Well this is nothing new
I get 10 of these a week, from banks, paypal, ebay, nigerian kings / heirs, tax authorities and all sorts.
It doesn't matter what the link says, the hyperlink it points to is always different, and these days they send an html attachement with javascript / forms that submit your details to the scaming server address.

Just press the delete button, I wouldn't even bother reading the content.

Thanks for the info. Still, there was no problem with my account, so what was it all about? And while I was logged in I did some modification which was immediately confirmed by paypal, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with my account, no suspicious payments or activities and it wasn't frozen either.

Taken over by scammers? These registration details for "paypal.com" give Markmonitor Inc as the registrar, Paypal Inc as the registrant and 64.4.241.33 as the IP address.

Mark Monitor has taken over, presumably on behalf of Ebay / Paypal over infringements.
