Gemeindehaus sent me a reminder to submit my Tax declaration (but we did already)

We did our taxes way before the 31.3.2012 deadline for 2011.
My wife went personally to the Gemeindehaus and handed it in to a familiar old lady at the reception.

Now, today,( 23 May) we received a reminder letter to submit these papers.

What can we do?

Reprint them? Complain about them? We did not ask for a written receipt from this woman, of course.

Arghhh!!!!

Reprint them and claim double tax relief. I am smug and do mine online.

Call the Gemeinde and tell them that you handed it in on time. Either it was a mistake that you received the reminder or they lost/misplaced it. Then just reprint it and hand it in a again.

No big deal as long as they don't threaten to fine you.

Problem is I do not have all the receipts for my tax-relief (children's bills, hort, tagesmutter, etc).

My wife handed it to the receptionist (an old lady), and I am quite sure she will deny even receiving it!
I mean, who is going to believe us or her?

Dammit!

I'd contact them and tell them you handed them in personally, chances are they have been put in a pile and no one has gotten to putting in the system they've been received. We'd hand in our taxes and it would take a year to hear from someone that a piece of info was missing - so 2 months doesn't surprise me at all.

I really hope so.
The common thing in CH is this: the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Neither are each interested to shake.

We will go there tomorrow morning, to look for the "friendly" old dame.
My wife told me, that was the one who gave us "trouble" when we enquired about things.....sigh.
Then I told me wife, why did you then give it to her?
Sigh...

I do not make copies of receipts...maybe I should.

Re: Gemeindehaus sent me a reminder to submit my Tax declaration (but we did already)

I kinda barged into the Gemeindehaus, looking all flustered and angry.
They quickly guided me to the Tax officer.
The receptionist was btw chatting with her in the closed room.

She checked her computer while holding the reminder letter.
She said it is ok, my documents are all ok, and she tore up the letter.

No apology, nothing.
Matter of fact.

Great efficient civil workers.
As a result of this letter, my Missus got an unfair reprimand from me, a sleepless night for me and we are late for work today!
