I'm thinking of putting serious wonga on Vertu Motors (VTU). It's currently 5 year low but still pays dividend so can sit tight until it goes up.

Compared to Lookers (LOOK) the NAV is 0.37 and the current price is 0.42 but Lookers' NAV is 0.35 and their share price is 1.10. Therefore, Vertu has a look of upside and all of their directors are buying on the dip, which gives me some confidence.

Vertu is listed in AIM, which means no stamp duty to be paid upon purchase and I believe it can also be added to SIPP (need to double check), which means exempt from CGT if you were UK resident.

However, if you don't want to believe the hype then you better do your own research.

Leaving aside China, where they don’t operate, 72 per cent of the world’s online advertising already passes through the online platforms of Facebook and Google, according to Brian Wieser, an analyst at Pivotal Research. As the digital pie grows, the two are set to take an even bigger slice, rising to 87 per cent by the end of the decade, he predicts.

Looking closer to home (in CH):

VTX:SYNN will return you nearly 20% tax-free in less than a year IF the merger goes through (and probably won't fall much if it doesn't, and there are still suitors out there). The dividend yield is currently an 'OK' 2.81% (still better than stashing cash under your mattress or in the bank).

VTX:ZURN is looking cheap right now and has great growth potential but even if not, its dividend yield on the current share price is almost 7.5% tax paid.
