Is this something Motif picked up from Arpida thinking it was worth a second go? The adverse effects from round one are a bit concerning...but I there's no second guessing what a new stage III trial will kick out.

I think EPZM and tazemetostat is a safer bet.

That would not correlate with the current perception.

Re: Stock investment poll

Nokia is planning to go into the future with release of their old trademark phone 3310. This may boost their sale and uplift slightly their already low shares trading around €5. However their future lays in smartphones and upcoming high end Nokia 6.

It might be worthwhile to give it a shot to buy a couple hundred of their shares.

as far as i remember, nokia don't own feature phones any more - they sold it to somebody. make sure you buy the right company

Sounds like a niche nostalgy product to me. With a very hefty price tag of 49 EUR - you can buy better specced cheap android phones for that price already

This one - http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_6-6885.php? I've got a better phone that that already last year and bought it for less money.

Mobile devices are a cut throat market, they've got tough competition, I wouldn't bet my money on it.

The one that owns the brand, maybe that's still NOK. Anyone can build a phone these days, entry barriers are low, brand's more important.

Yes, Nokia still exist, but they sold the mobile phone division to Microsoft.

That became Microsoft Mobile.

Microsoft Mobile itself then sold the feature phone division and the right to make Nokia branded phones to HMD.

Indeed the S&P CAPE is near 2008 values (even though far from dot-com crash values)

Hi Texas,

That document was provided 8 years ago and Motif bought them and made bigger strides and are now on phase 3, which is a tremendous achievement.

Re: Stock investment poll

Having just sold off all my semi-conductor holdings. I'm looking for new ideas for companies to invest in.

Currently, my main holdings are:

FeverTree Drinks
Imperial Brands
Walmart
BP
Total SA
ADP
PMI

Any ideas? I'll also be keeping an eye on the FB quarterly results tonight.

Well, I guess technically there could be a small chance that it doesn't quadruple it's earnings in the next couple of years...
at the time share price of around 118 with a PE of 80.

now 173 with a PE of 37.

buying at 118 with today's earnings would give an effective PE of around 25. not quite quadrupled yet, but it's only been 1 year so far...

https://www.ft.com/content/f6fe0f18-...6-c6bd07df1a3c

"Facebook may soon become the most powerful profit machine in history — if it is not that already. The quarterly results it released last week were staggering. Revenue, poised to pass $40bn annually, grew by nearly 50 per cent. Operating margins near 50 per cent. Return on capital? Near 50 per cent again. It is hard to find another company, from any era, with a comparable combination of size, growth and profitability."

I picked up a bunch of Kroger right after the Amazon Whole Foods announcement. I think it's still a reasonable buy now.

Nice timing. I would have done the same. Kicking myself for not buying more WMT at the time, but I didn't want to increase my holdings in WMT any more.

I used to work for VFC and should have bought shares. I knew they were going to do well but at the time, I wasn't really interested in investment back then so never bothered. I would have doubled my money.

Kroger Co (KR - NYSE) seems a good buy today! In the big picture Whole Foods (now Amazon) is a small player.

Not sure exactly how I got here, but my portfolio managed to evolve from pure tech stocks to mainly tobacco and oil!

Imperial Brands
FeverTree Drinks
Walmart

British American Tobacco

Nice ones, but I wouldnt invest in NVidia... look at that graph, doesnt seem right, maybe before it went up at almost 90 degrees would be nice, but that pike will fall... its getting waaaay over appreciated

However, AMD, seems like a under appreciated company for the size of it and all they do... CPUs and Graphic cards...
