Taking alcohol into France from Switzerland, limit?

I will be driving over and staying with friends in France soon and wanted to bring some beers and wine that they enjoyed, when they stayed here with me.

I have already stocked up and have 4 bottles of still wine and several litres of various beers.

It only just occurred to me now, there is probably a limit as to how much beer I am allowed to bring.

I think as far as the wine goes, when I googled, I am fine, it seems that two litres of still wine is allowed. I couldn't see anything regarding beer, does anybody know?

Thanks in advance if you can help me out on this, I could only find info regarding flying, so may not be the same as driving.

Edit: I realise my post may not be specifically to do with driving, but I think it's better than Finance, taxation and banking, but hey ho, what do I know.
