Tax in Valais

Would someone be able to help in giving some advice if a single person living (not working) in the Valais earning 120`000 chf would need to pay in total tax (not forfait)? Do they for example need to consider additional fortune (not income) outside the country? Your advise is much appreciated.

Re: Tax in Valais

not working...yet earning 120,000...hmmmm

Not sure what is meant by the above, business, investments... interest... anyhow worldwide income is counted, including assets in the wealth tax, but the calculation for the wealth tax for non-swiss assets is a bit different.

Re: Tax in Valais

There really is quite a lot on this site about swiss taxation, and google too. Come back with some more specific info and questions and we'll be pleased to help.

Re: Tax in Valais

There is a tax brochure issued by the Canton Valais that describes exactly how to do do it, if you need it now I can look for my hardcopy of that brochure (they send it with the tax forms). Where in Valais are you? How ever if you have a B permit you will be Quellenbesteuert and they do not really want you to do a tax declaration.
