| Anyone know of a tax advisor who can help regarding UK pension and Swiss taxes, preferably around Fribourg or Bern area? I'm just about to start receiving my private UK pension and am looking for someone to advise me on the best option before I send back all the paperwork.
I've checked the sticky for tax advisors, but most seem to be aimed at the US side of things and the thread was closed at the beginning of 2012. | |

Im afraid I cant help, but I suspect it is quite hard to find. International pensions advice is generally a tough one.
However it might help to unbundle the topics. Best option for what? Whether to take a lump sum or convert to pension and timing thereof?
In Switzerland I am certain your pension income will be taxable as income here, so the only real question is the lump sums. A swiss pension lump sum would be taxable according to special rules, but I am not familiar with overseas pensions lump sums. It shouldnt be too hard to find out.
So if you dont find a "polymath" advisor, I would focus on the right pensions advice, and look to the UK to find one, but armed with the Swiss tax angle.
