Second vote of confidence for moneypark. We got an incredibly low interest rate through them.. and not from a bank, but from an insurance company.

I am looking at mortgage options at the moment. Could you share the name of the insurer?
Baloise offers something like 0.68% fixed for 5 years, but I have seen even better than that.

IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOUR PERSONNEL CIRCUMSTANCES !!!!
The same bank may give me a mortgage at a different interest rate/terms than you as i am a better/worse client than you

Ok, thanks.
The same bank won't offer the same conditions to both of us, but it is interesting to know what rate you got and where, as benchmark.
If you don't want to share it, no need. I will do it when I get mine sorted out, so I can help other people in the forum.

But it's totally irrelevant unless you know all the details.
I got 0.57% LIBOR 3 months.....

I got 1.35 % for 10 year fixed.
I'm one of the "worst" clients though and am quite happy with the interest rate I got.
I sat down once with a moneypark salesman and had a good impression, didn't choose moneypark however and looked myself.

If anyone is recently sorting out their mortgages, what is the best rate you have been offered for a 10 years fixed?
UBS is offering 0.93% for a 10 year and SKB is the most competetive(without running around much) as they offer 10 years fixed at 0.78% through their e-hypo.ch website.
UBS had issued a 'zahlungsversprechen' for my new apartment, however the mortgage was not started as the posession is in November and we are now going to lock the rates and sign contract with UBS next week.
Considering we have not leased any tranches yet, can we still move to SKB as .15% makes a big difference, even when UBS have issued us a zahlungsversprechen(promisory note) which was used for initial registeration at Notary after initial reservation?

Hi there,
We have just renewed our mortgage and fixed it for 10 years with ZKB at 0.68%.
I have seen Axa and Credit Agricole offering very competitive rates at lower durations.
Rates, including Forward rates, are incredibly low at the moment.
Cheers,

Wow! 0.68%, that is gold!
It's a shame UBS won't get any close to those numbers. I'll see if we can still escape UBS, though chances may be very slim after having the zahlungsversprechen issued. | Quote: | | | | | Hi there,

Wow, this is low. How long in advance can you fix the rate for refinancing? Can this be done a year, or even two years before the current mortgage expires?

Here are this week's rates as posted in the 24Heures.
The three levels are Excellent, Very Good, Good. They also give a trend on the rates (up/down/no change).

Trying to google for historic LIBOR rates I come across only interbank rates and not what banks offer to clients. Anyone knows a source to historic rates?

Historic bank rates? No.
You can get the idea by adding the spread

Bah. That’s nothing. Up here, we know how to do mortgages. https://www.businessinsider.com/jysk...19-8?r=US&IR=T
Incidentally, that’s perfect timing for the house I just bought. |

Do you know the typical rates for the forward option, very roughly? Really just a few bps, or more like 25-50 bps (what I heard a few years ago)? Can this really be done two years in advance? Thanks!

Each and every bank is different and it will also depend on your personal situation.

Could anybody tell me roughly how long they waited for a mortgage decision from their bank? We have had an offer on our house subject to the buyer getting a mortgage with her bank. Ours told us yes the same day with a view to buying another property. It has been 8 days since the buyer told us she is waiting to hear. Thank you .

....as everything, it all depends on personal circumstances.
2 weeks for a new buyer wouldn't be unusual
