How to claim Tax back on divorce/child payments

hi,

I tried to search for a relevant thread but couldnt find one so forgive me if there is one :-)

I have been paying maintencance to my x wife and child since dec 2011 and have moved houses and cantons about 5 times since then. I only found out recently I could claim the tax back on these payments which would help me massively considering the high amount relative to income :-(. does anyone know the best approach to back date the claims ? do i contact each individual tax office in each canton lived in ? or is there a general approach? does anyone know the name of the form I would need to use (maybe there are online somewhere) many thanks for the help

Its much better you contact a tax advisor and ask him directly. You can also contact the past gemiends (councils) which you lived in ask directly what to do in order to get the tax back. Good luck!
