swiss credit card with direct payment history

Hi,
I have cantonal BCGE VISA credit card, that is somehow using Zurich-based Viseca company (don't know details, but I presume BCGE is too small to make this financially viable for them). My GF has UBS, and same behavior.
Meaning any credit card payment is not seen immediately, but once a month, complete sum is subtracted, and we only receive break down of all amounts via mail.

Is there a bank that provides immediate (well, you know what I mean) subtractions from account that are easily trackable?
I have one older VISA credit card from Czech republic, small bank called mBank, and they have this feature, which I consider very handy.
Thanx for any help

Re: swiss credit card with direct payment history

The postfinance prepaid Mastercard can be linked directly to your postfinance bank account. I find it's no more than 2, 3 days behind with the transaction details, and the balance is usually shown with 'pending' transactions so you can see what is going on.

About 2 years ago I started using a software called 'YNAB'- you need a budget, and we track all spending on the computer (it has a mobile app as well as desktop so you can sync more than one user to the same file)...

Between the two, tracking the bank accounts as well as keeping the budgeting software up to date, we now track every purchase/expense. Previously, I kept a 'budget' that had a good idea of where the money 'should' go and a general category for each spending area, but not actually a record of exactly how the money was spent...

I have the BCGE / Viseca card ..

I also have the viseca app on my iphone and use the viseca website to check transactions / balance etc.. Purchases usually appeear in the app / web after a day or two.

So a quick check there shows me what will come out of my linked bank account at the start of the month.

Details of the app / website were in all the paperwork that came with that card.

Simples?

Get the SBB Visa bonuscard with the halb-tax card and you can log in and see whole account/card/transaction history with ease.

Re: swiss credit card with direct payment history

I have a post finance VISA, have it linked to my account and can see all the transactions, but.... it's really weird.

It seems like there's a card account and then a second account to where everything on the card account is transferred to, I suspect, every month. I then get the bill based on that second account. I have to flick between these two accounts to get the full picture.

I can't really figure out why this is the case, but then I've only just been dragged into online banking this year. Previously I always thought those little calculator type thingies were actually little promotional calculators.

Didn't know they had an app, somehow I missed that in their docs. I will have to re-check all docs they sent me. The main motivation for me to use it because it's free with my employer. And why pay for something if you don't have to

You can get the app on your iphone from app store obviously but to get it working I'm sure it wanted an account number, not the long number on the card. This account number was on the letter sent with the card originally. Same i think for the website.

So either call them and ask for the account number or find that letter

Same for me, free with my employer.

I'm not familiar with Viseca but other card issuers print the account number on the monthly statements.

Re: swiss credit card with direct payment history

Get the Coop VISA and Mastercard credit cards, they are run by Credit Suisse, and are free of annual charges.
