I was calculating my possible net salary in lohncomputer.ch site. And there you can choose canton or leave "commuters". As I consider accepting an offer to work in Zurich, i see that there is quite a difference if I choose just commuters. Wikipedia says commuter tax is for those who work but not live in a particular jurisdiction


Does it mean i need to choose Zurich as canton for tax calculation if I will live daily in Zurich for work? Tax rate then is not that small (>23%) then.


What would be criteria to classify for commuters tax (e.g. cannot I rent apartment?) ?
