tax on uk to chf transfer

Hi I have a question, which I have searched on here for the answer but don't see any specific answer.

I want to transfer money from a UK bank account to a Chf account here, amount will be around 50k my question is not what I will be charged for the transfer but rather will i be taxed on the amount here in Switzerland?

Thanks

Re: tax on uk to chf transfer

If you are resident in Switzerland you are liable to pay wealth tax if you reach a certain limit. This depends on your overall wealth, no matter where in the world you park your dosh.

The pure transfer from the UK to Switzerland has no tax implications.

You may have to declare the transfer if you transfer more than €10k in one go. At least that applies to Germany, but officially only for "statistical" purposes.

Re: tax on uk to chf transfer

There is no need to declare anything and there is no tax to pay on the transfer.

For wealth tax purposes it should also make no difference, as wealth tax is on your worldwide assets anyway so it should be included on your tax declaration whether it is in a UK account or a Swiss account.
