Best Credit Card for Travelling Outside of Switzerland

Hi, what's the best credit card for travelling outside of Switzerland and transacting in EUR, GBP and USD with the best FX rates and lowest fees. I'm pretty fed up with my Credit Suisse Visa and its 2% charge for non-CHF transactions.

The best I can find is the PostFinance Gold Card which charges 0.9% and uses the USB currency sales rate, but with a 0.75% cashback bonus it takes the fee down to almost nothing. The card costs CHF 90 per year, but the catch is you need to also have a PostFinance bank account, which will cost an additional CHF 60 per year, and you can only set up a direct debit for the credit card from that account, which will make the whole process inconvenient as I don't want to use their bank account and have to keep on top of transferring money between accounts.

Are there any standalone credit cards available in Switzerland with comparably low fees for transactions outside of the country? I really don't want to have to get a PostFinance bank account, but other than messing around with EUR, GBP and USD denominated credit cards and bank accounts I can't see an alternative.

Thanks, Steve

If you're ok with a 1.5% loading check out the cumulus card from. migros/Cembra bank (ex-GE). With no yearly fee.

Downside is they may keep your data outside CH.

We have a simple Migros Cumulus master card, no fees, no yearly costs. Only use it for travel.

Never had any problems - paying with it, or accounting problems.

Coop also has a credit card, also applying 1.5% currency conversion cost.

I know that with UBS you can have a EUR account with a EUR CC linked to it but I guess that both account and card will come at a cost.

Cornercard similarly charges a 0.9% foreign currency levy and is without ties

Any additional thoughts here? Cornercard just increased it's international transaction rate so I'm in the market for a new card. PostFinance card could be interesting.

Re: Best Credit Card for Travelling Outside of Switzerland

Top up from my Swiss bank to Revolut took about 4 days via SWIFT in Euros.
Yesterday I paid in USD at a US website. Card works just perfect. Exchange rate as shown on Google - no hidden fees.

Revolut rocks!
