Moneyhouse gets it's company data from the companies register

If your situation referred to a company, then you urgently need to update your company data at the company registry office.
Ah, no. We are not a company. Moneyhouse also lists personal names and addresses without knowledge or authorization from said person. Who knows where they get the information from. Or at least this was the situation a few years ago, when even the name of my infant daughter was listed and I contacted them to have it all removed. They requested a passport so I didn't pursue the matter further.

Their request for ID is fair, generally speaking anybody could claim s/he's your child's parent. Under data protection law and regulations, once you've proven your identiy they have to provide the data they store on you (your child), who they got it from and who they sent/sold it to, if applicable.

It may be useful to ask the big directory providers just in case (Moneyhouse, Deltavista, Orell Füssli, Intrum Justizia und Dun and Bradstreet) plus the two big address data providers (Schober and AZ Direkt).

These informations must be provided at no cost for the enquirer (unless a similar enquiry has been conclusively answered within the last 12 months) and they have to answered within 30 days.

True, I was listed there too. Google still finds the moneyhouse page of mine yet if you click on the details there error 404 comes up - so moneyhouse probably deleted me after finding out I was seriously not interesting enough to be listed

Re: Harassement by Intrum Justitia

I think moneyhouse has changed its practices and personal information is no longer readily available for the world to see. It used to be that if I Googled my name (which is uncommon) one of the first hits would be my profile on moneyhouse, including my address. My husband and daughter were there too, and it even linked us to the other people in our building (ie. "This person may know...". It was really bizarre.

This no longer appears to be the case, at least through a Gooogle search. I don't doubt, though, that this information is still available to paying members like Intrum Justitia.

But at any rate, this post was about Intrum Justitia, not moneyhouse. I just wanted people to be aware that reimbursement is possible.
