What to do with old Swiss currency/notes?

I was back in the US a few weeks ago going through old boxes and found quite a lot of old bank notes from when I was traveling a lot on business, pre-Euro.

I have about 140 CHF and am wondering if I can go to a bank to exchange it (next time that I am in CH) or what the procedure might be.

Thanks for any advice,

fduvall

A couple of years ago (i.e. quite some time after the changeover) we walked into an American Express office in Zermatt (neither of us has their card) and they exchanged a similar small sum for us with no problems. No guarantee it will work, but might be worth a try.
