Some would define the letters as coercion and the fees as usury, which are both laws... The Beobachter and all those consumer rights agencies had a couple of legal battles with them and now they word the letters in a way that they are probably legal, but still achieve the same...
Maybe an altrusitic top notch lawyer with lots of time on his hands could take them down. But such people are rare and mostly when you fall into arrears its because you are already struggling to make ends meet and will do anything to get yet another problem off your neck. They exploit this shamelessly.
