When I tried to change my address, it also displayed an error. Then I talked to the support, and they said they need a proof that I have an address in another country. I said the address was on my ID and then they unlocked the option to change the address. It worked and the card is still working for me today. Phew! | Quote: | | | | | This is bad indeed. Another reason to keep your Revolut balance close to 0 and top-up when needed. | | | | | Why? If one day it appears that Revolut becomes useless for you, you just transfer the money back to your current account. I don't know how verifiable it is, but they claim to keep our money on accounts at Barclays.

Be aware that they are changing their Policy again. ATM withdrawals monthly limit(without fee) will go down to 200 GBP.
I think I'm going to go to the ATM to empty my account while I still can.

What's bugging me is, again, their communication style. - Cards without EU/EEA address are cancelled within 24 hours? No system notification, it's hidden somewhere in the smallprint.
- Fair-use policy withdrawals slashed to less than half? Practically no notification.
- "Spending Analytics Feature", interesting for I guess very few of their customers? Worthy of a System Notification.
- The "community" is entirely left to user's speculations - no Revolut representative interferes (at least the last time I checked).
- When the investment came up, the second the investment round was closed they stopped answering questions.
- CHF was promised already for the past. Why promise, if they then don't stick to the timeline. Why not surprise users with features as they become a reality, rather than not delivering on promises!?
I guess that, actually, both FUP and non-EEA/EU-cards closure was really not their fault, more the result of bad planning.
Even if it's a great product in itself, all this leaves a bad taste in the mouth, not a trustworthy feeling. They are in bad need of a decent customer relations representative.

Just messaged them as well regarding sending and receiving money as those functions are also blocked.
They confirmed it's blocked even though their announcement said it should be ok.
Let's just say communication is not their fortait! Just hope they have CHF within the next six months otherwise this product is gonna be dead in the water at least in Switzerland.

Revolut introduced virtual cards, quite useful for online shopping without revealing your real card. http://revolutapp.tumblr.com/post/15...-revolut-cards |

| | Re: Multi Currency Credit Card ["Revolut"] | Quote: | | | | Hi there, we’re truly sorry to say that as of 11pm CET, 27th November, your RevolutCard will be inactive upon request from our issuing partner. We expect this to be a temporary measure whilst we migrate to a new issuing bank at the beginning of next year, alongside adding CHF and a number of other top-up currencies. The good news is that you can still top-up and use your Revolut account to exchange and transfer currencies globally at interbank rates.
If you're a legal resident of a country within the European Economic Area, please amend the address on your Profile or get in touch with our in-app support so we can edit it for you. This will ensure your card remains active.
Thanks for being an early adopter, we’ll let you know when our cards are available in your country again soon. | | | | | Any update on this guys? 'Early' next year is here, or is it? My Amazon experience now sucks |

My Revolut account is registered in the UK but I am living in Switzerland and it is working just lovely. I just top up in GBP and use a UK address for verification purposes

Someone on the revolut community board asked for an update on the situation.
A revolut rep answered that there is no news yet.

While the card continues to be dead in Switzerland without reliable reactivation timeline, Revolut now introduced individual Bank Account Numbers for the UK.
In effect all customers can, at the click of a button within the app, obtain their own individual UK account number and use it for incoming and outgoing transfers.
However, with their ~30k-restriction per year, it can't compete with "usual" full blown accounts.
Nevertheless, interesting feature!

Hey all,
I tried to read all the pages... but to be honest I failed! having skipped a whole bunch in the middle, is there a single post that summarises the consensus on Revolt perhaps?
Would be extremely appreciate!
Kind regards
Ella

It's good, but it's too late to get it - they kicked out Switzerland a while ago.
Given their track record, it's not certain at all that they are coming back to CH any time soon. So, move on.

Just logged in and got a message that I now have a UK "bank account", with sort code and all. Interesting. It can be used, as they say, for salary payments and such

BTW, I love Revolut on holidays. You just login to the app and you can verify if everything checks out, within seconds after the transaction.

So finally the CHF is available on Revolut! But still the credit card is NOT yet available for Swiss residents.
That means our Revolut account can be used as a money conversion tool. e.g. Top up using CHF, convert to USD, EUR, GBP or PLZ and then transfer the money out to an account that can hold money in the converted to currency.
I haven't tried to top up using CHF, but should be work without an issue using bank transfer, not sure about topping up using Maestro.
If anyone is successful with top ups in CHF, it would be good to update the thread to see what potential fees are incurred. I will do a test with bank transfer later.
