Has anyone else had the message from Revolut stating that it will no longer except local CHF?? Not sure the best way forward sending CHF to GBP?

Hello All, so can I still transfer CHF into my Revolut account using Swift??

Are there any fees for topping up with UBS credit or debit card?

Yes you can, you can still top up a Revolut CHF account, the only change is that instead of using the CHF IBAN directly it now should be via Swift (or other ways e.g. debit cards etc).

CHF still works fine, it's only the top up method that has changed due to an IBAN change.

I guess this change is only for the people who are not resident in Switzerland. I still see both local credit suisse account and swift account in my revolut account for top-up.

Just wonder if anyone has the same problem that I could not add the beneficiary bank account. So now my money gets stuck with Revolut account.
Looks like Suisse is really an outdated country in terms of e-banking techno.
Revolut block the cash flow in by charging the SWIFT fee, and now blocking the cash out by not allowing me adding other bank accounts.

Afaik no fees are charged, and you can use both for instant top up.

Also when using the credit card the transaction is recognised as "online merchandise" for UBS, so i guess every top up counts towards keyclub points!

I don't think Revolut checks if you actually are a legal resident. Yes they require an address somewhere and an identity document, but not proof of residence.
You could easily register with a passport at an address in a country where you have never lived - legally or otherwise.

Is anybody else having issues topping up Revolut with UBS credit cards? Tried it with both MC and Visa.

No. What error are you getting?

The transaction goes through as usual (including confirmation in the UBS Access app) but instead of the funds being available immediately as is usually the case, the transaction shows as “pending” for a while and then gets “reverted”.

Use the chat function and ask them to check what happens.

Also make sure that you have not reached your monthly credit card limit.

Yes, I've had that exact problem over the last few weeks (and reverted to IBAN) but it seems to work now (the last 3 top-ups worked as intended).
It does ask for the CVV number each time though, which is new for me.

There was a very publicised incident of someone's credit card used fraudulently beyond its monthly limit, and I speculate that Revolut and/or UBS tuned their systems to prevent that, therefore the bug and the CVV prompt.

Same here, it started on October 31st (29th still worked) with a Postfinance Mastercard (which basically equals to a UBS card). It's a prepay card, so I know for sure the limit is not the problem.
After deleting the Postfinance card in the Revolut app I can't re-add it anymore, as it gets declined immediately when trying to add new funds.
It's a shame as this was a nice working combo with free, immediate top-ups and 0.3% cashback. :msnsad:

I can still top-up with my Postfinance Visa credit card.

Has anyone used Revolut in Vietnam or Cambodia?

I recently used in China and it worked as a standard MasterCard. Apart from couple of local restaurants where I could not only pay by cash.

Thanks. I am curious if the card is accepted and, more importantly, if you are billed in local currency or dollars.

Re: Multi Currency Credit Card ["Revolut"]

Revolut recently changed their process for Swiss bank transfers (charging up your Revolut accout). It used to be enough to just use your unique reference number (in the desc field) when you did a transfer but now if you do that the payment will be auto-rejected and it could take a week for the money to be returned to your bank (UBS in my case).

What you now need to add to the description field of your transfer is:
  • Unique reference
  • The full beneficiary name
  • Country of residence

All on different lines. I found all this out through Revolut customer services :msnsarcastic:, backed up by the Revolut forums. I'm really unimpressed with Revolut on this, Transferwise doesn't have this rule but then it could be how they structured their Swiss Bank accounts.
