Now in CH, how can I invest my UK savings account
A while ago I moved to Zurich for work from London.
Before moving I sold a property and now the proceeds are in a savings account attracting a small interest. I am looking for ways to invest this money in a tax-efficient and easy-to-manage way.
I am not certain what my future looks like, i.e. when or if I will move back to the UK, or whether I will settle in CH in the long term.
So far I've looked at international (offshore) investment accounts (e.g. HSBC Expat, LLoyds International). At this point I am looking at hearing from people who've been in a similar situation and whether they can share some of their experiences with these type of investment accounts. I am curious about how costly these options end up being, or how easy it's to deal with offshore providers.
I am very illiterate about personal finances, so any alternative suggestions are also welcome (i.e wiring the funds to CH to manage here, using a provider in the UK that accepts expats, etc).
Thanks!
