Tax advisor in Bern for tax at source

Hi

I'm from the EU and living in Bern for 1 year now. I'm on tax at source (Quellensteuer) and read that one can in this case also claim for deductions.
If anyone has a good (and possibly) English speaking tax advisor who knows the ins and outs and helps to fill out the forms, please let me know.
What are approximately the (hourly) rates for such services?

Many thanks: Nora

Re: Tax advisor in Bern for tax at source

You'd need to contact the tax office and ask for a tax return. Also ask if they can help you fill it in and save yourself some money for a tax preparer.

Re: Tax advisor in Bern for tax at source

Be careful. The tax at source is the average amount, for an individual in the Canton. If you complete a tax form you will be re-assessed.

A single friend of mine on a 'B' permit, lived and worked in Bern city, & earned about Fr 4'000 per month. She decided too much tax was being charged and found someone to help her complete a tax return. Bern tax office then did a calculation and they decided she had to pay an extra Fr 1'000 for that year...!

Thank you for all of your answers!
Now I'm unsure what to do. Accept the average tax calculated at source or pay for a tax advisor who hopefully knows the system inside out and can save me some bucks.

Just go to the Bern city tax office in Bethlehem and ask them what is best for you, with your income and assets.

I assume you are in Bern city and not in Hungary: please change your location.
