pension LPP transfer
Hello people ! I have a question please regarding the pension scheme, could you please help me understand because my certificates are all in french and maybe I miss something. I have permit B in Switzerland.
I had so far a company for my pension, (2eme pillier). My new employer asked to send them a document (LPP) for the "transfert des avoirs" to a new insurance company, I guess the one they collaborate with. She said, "if you wanna move the current LPP".
My questions are:
1) Is it indeed "if I want to", or is it necessary to change the company that calculates my pension to the new one?
2) Is this information confidential or my new employer can have access to them? Why did the HR ask to fill in this document and send to them? Shouldn't I send it directly to the company that will handle my pension if I change it?
3) If I provide this, will it transfer all the pension gathered up to now, or is it calculated at the end of the year? Cause this might mean they will transfer now up to 12.2015.
