Maintenance free student account available for foreigners

Hello there,

I'm a student (an EU national, studying at university in the EU) interning in Switzerland and I thought it could be a good idea to keep my salary in Francs. I've already visited one major Swiss bank but I was told that I was not eligible for opening a Student account.

So I am looking for a bank that offers maintenance free savings accounts, preferably with some interest as well. Of course, I don't have much to keep in the account so none of the high-end institutions are relevant to me.

Thanks

Post finance will be the cheapest, however unlikely to be free.

Re: Maintenance free student account available for foreigners

Post finance is free if you keep 7500+ chf with them, else 5 Fr per month - not a big sum if you only need it for a few months.

You can pretty much forget about interests on deposits these days, be thankful they aren't negative
