Help with taxation

Hallo

I am trying to figure out my tax-declaration for the first time in Switzerland since i started investing in stocks and ETFs.

I use Taxme offline (program) from the Bern Finanzdirektion.
You have to put in the valor number of the ETF and Stocks you where holding for the declaration, which I am trying to do.

1. Problem is it wont find all of my ETFs there.
For example my Emerging Market Small Cap ETF # 12009677 wont show up in taxme offline, even though I can find it here: https://www.ictax.admin.ch/extern/de...rity//20161231
So how should I include it in my tax declaration?

2. Problem is that the program (taxme offline) tells me totaly different Steuerwert pro Stück (=tax Value / Stock) numbers, EG for #4561475 (Eurostoxx 600) it tells me 22.64 CHF online vs 77.01 CHF in the program.

Can someone tell help me out a little with that?

Thanks for any tipps.
Hanno

Leave Valor empty and declare your best guess as to what the CHF value was on 31.12.

This should be usually its closing price at the last stock market's business day, converted to CHF at the Kursliste's FX rates. Don't forget to also list the dividends you've received, if any.

Re: Help with taxation

Yes. It matters to them to decide whether you're a professional trader. In particuler if you held a security for less than 6 months, this gives them a right to look deeper into your trading habits.

If you're with a foreign broker, also beware of new AEOI regulations. Banks and brokers in many countries are now obliged to rat out their foreign clients to tax authorities unprompted. Among other things, reportable is the gross amount of proceeds from securities sales - so the authorities have this new way to double check your numbers.

Re: Help with taxation

Trying again... lot of work to do
I cant find the Dividend Yield of some of my ETFs. Is this a problem?
EG I have: LU0378434582, Comstage Stoxx 600. I cant find the Dividend Yield anywhere, its a reinvesting ETF. Should be about the same as the Eurostoxx 600.. But no official numbers. Do I just guess it, or can I write to Comstage to get any numbers?
How do you do that?
