Tax return - Stocks taxable value

I'm filling in my tax return using BL EasyTax. I'm puzzled by the taxable value (Steurwet) of some of my holdings. When I enter the Valoren-Nr of the stock, sometimes it is found by the software and the values get filled in for me.

Roche, it matches exactly my holding and what's on my tax certificate from the bank. For Actelion, though, the software gives 133.60, and the tax certificate says 220.50. I'm getting the same kind of thing with some US holdings as well.

I suspect that the software is using the wrong value, but perhaps there's some weird Swiss rule that makes the taxable value different from the quoted value?

Re: Tax return - Stocks taxable value

Actelion is 220.50 CHF in tax database too

Maybe you were searching for a wrong thing, or software is buggy indeed

I entered the ISIN in the search field, and it came back with everything else correct, including dividend dates. But thanks for the link - under (KEP) Repay capital contributions there's a checkbox for Basel-Country: reduced tax value - and I'm in BL. It gives the lower figure of 133.60. I do wonder why, though.

Edit: this article (German) might shed some light. https://www.kmu-magazin.ch/finanzen-...-rueckt-naeher
