Hi,
I am planning to do the CMA certification and would like to know other's experiences if it helps in advancing your career in the financial domain in Switzerland. my only concern is that it is awarded by a US organisation that may not be recognised well in the job market here. Please note i am not trying to make an entry into the job market here with this certification. I am already here since 10 years, have a C permit and working in the finance domain for all the 10 years. Now i am looking for a certification that will help in advancing my career.


my previous experience was that i did a CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) that is also awarded by a US organisation and i felt that not many employers here know about it or value it. so i dont want to repeat the same mistake again , getting a certification that adds no value here.

Have you considered CIMA? It's a well known management accounting qualification in Europe, while I've never heard of CMA here

Or else CACA, CFA or perhaps CA in industry.
