Term Life Insurance for expats

Has anyone heard of/dealt with the company GBG and their International Life 360 plan? Or perhaps does anyone have suggestions on how to evaluate?

They offer life insurance policies to expats, including in Switzerland, for about a third the price of similar policies from Swiss insurers. Their policies are in USD, which I'm ok with since I don't necessarily plan to stay in Switzerland: https://portals.gbg.com/Documents/Po...icyEnglish.pdf

On the other hand the Swiss policies say exactly how much your heirs get if you die in each of the next 20 years without changing domicile, and don't indicate any change in premiums, while this one has wording that allows raising the premium arbitrarily every year. It also puts the burden of proof on your heirs regarding exclusions, implies that you need to be employed when you die for it to pay out, and is administered in Guernsey. So I'm leaning towards not trusting it.

Any advice, suggestions and experience from those whose heirs have not yet needed to collect is welcome!

Welcome to the forum.

For complete transparency you might like to declare any interest, or not, in this company. (I'm not being funny, but anyone who joins a forum and posts a link to a company or product on their first post could be seen by some as being a bit suspicious)

Sure, I understand. FWIW I don't have any interest in the company, and as I said I'm leaning towards not trusting them (because of the weasel words in the contract). Still looking for term life insurance though.

On the other hand it is an invitation to shred the thing in pieces

One thing I see is the long list of excluded event of death.
This Swiss life insurance has a very short list: Suicide in first 3 years. Even war events are covered.
