help with debt collection

Hello,
maybe you can give me some help.
A company from holland manufactured a product and sold it to a swiss company. the product was partially paid (75%), received and accepted and signed by this company. The outstanding amount is important and therefore, after one failed attempt to recover the money via a dutch collection agency, they would like to go heavier. What do you recommend? What is the law stating? I.e. can assets be frozen, how long time does it take to go from a judge, can you recommend a good lawyer / specialised collection agency?
Thanks!

Re: help with debt collection

Your location says Zug, so you seem to be the non paying Swiss company.
Just read the SchKG to get a feel what could happen to your company if the Dutch company goes the formal way of "Betreibung auf Konkurs/Konkursbetreibung"

Dutch company should read up about the debt collection enforcement procedure which is based upon the debt enforcement and bankruptcy act.

Re: help with debt collection

Thanks aSwissInTheUS. No I am not the swiss company (I wish I could live in Switzerland), I put Zug in the location because I thought it was mandatory to put a location. No harm intended.
Thanks for the link!

EdwinNL, could you give me a link to the the debt enforcement and bankruptcy act.

Both: could you recommend a good swiss collection agency / specialized lawyer we could use to get the money paid? Or even better, a company which we could sell the debt to ?

Thanks

Location can be anything, even the Moon if you like. Just to not expect meaningful answers. In your case Netherlands would be good enough.

Link is already in my post. Do you understand German? Than theoretically you could do the whole process on your own. If not, any semi competent lawyer should be able to do it. It is not rocket science.

A collection agency would be Intrum Justitia. Can not belive I recomend that guys Just do not know if hey only bother private costumers with there very questionable practice or if they also take on B2B cases.
